Schlötter Ireland DAC has a well-established and strong record in the area of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S). We are ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified, and over the years, we have implemented a number of initiatives that have proven beneficial to both the environment and cost reduction. Many of these cost-saving and environmentally friendly initiatives have been shared with our customers, resulting in mutual benefits for Schlötter Ireland DAC, our customers, and the environment. Below are the main achievements Schlötter has successfully attained over the years, and we continue to strive for further improvements in this key area of our business.

- ISO 14001 certification since 2001.
- Occupational Health & Safety ISO certification since 2014.
- We have consistently worked to improve the safety of our employees.
- Risk assessments are conducted regularly, and all new processes are thoroughly checked for potential hazards.
- Employees are provided with appropriate garments, footwear, and respiratory equipment for their assigned tasks.
- We are fully compliant with all current Irish and EU legislation relating to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S).
- Our Packaging Recycling Programme, in place for the past 20 years, has reduced our packaging requirements by approximately tenfold. This initiative requires full participation from both established and potential customers, contributing to an environmentally friendly and cost-effective procedure.
- We employ a full-time Health & Safety officer.
- All our operators, stores personnel, forklift drivers, and truck drivers are trained in chemical handling and spill containment.
- We employ two full-time Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors (DGSAs).
- A full description of each of our products is submitted to customers in advance of delivery through a Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
- All packaging and labeling comply fully with EU regulations.
- Regular refresher courses are organized for all employees.
- The 5S methodology is employed throughout the company to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
